Okay, something recently happened to me that's still irritating me very badly. You see, a few friends and I were going to see Hellboy II in theater right? Well, it was around 11:00 when we got there, so we decided to go eat lunch at Red Robins.
I had about $30 so that after the movie, I could buy a cheap game, and my other friends had $20 for snacks at the movie. Well, there was one problem... THE PRICE OF THE ACTUAL MEAL.
We got some fries as appetizers, and they weren't too bad, but I had better ones at other places. After this we looked at the menu, and found to our horror on how expensive it was. It costed $8.10 for a freaking burger. Seriously, $8 for a burger. I was thinking 'that better be the best freakin' hamburger I ever had.', and the waitress informed us that they were big ones, so I felt fine. Until the actual burgers appeared.
They were a good size, but Sonic burgers (which rock )were bigger than that, and only cost half the price. That didn't deter me that much because the burger should be delicious, so I took a bite.
If Red Robins does have the best burgers in the world, then explain why the ones I had tasted worse than most of the other restaurants I've been to (Which includes Jake's, Wendys, McDonalds, Burger King, Sonic, Denny's, and others). Hell, McDonalds burgers are better than those, and they aren't that good usually. Still, It was lunch and I was hungry, so I continued.
One of my friends hated hers and actually stopped eating it halfway through out of sickness, and the others barely finished theirs at all. Turned out I wasn't the only one who didn't like what they got.
When we were done, we looked at the total price. 69 dollars. 69 ^$&*%)* dollars, plus the tip. It included the second round of drinks which while technically refillable for free, you get charged with "soda service". Well, grudgingly we set down our money and some tip (the waitress was nice at least), and left for the movies. My friends couldn't get their refreshment, and I couldn't get my game.
I hate rip-offs...
